Transition to a Sustainable Economy with Canandian Industrial Hemp
TAKE ACTION WITH YOUR LETTER NOW
Dear Minister,
I am writing with regard to the government's commitment to transitioning to a sustainable economy.
I am a resident of _____ and am concerned about the future of a local living economy and the health of the environment.
It is my opinion that the government can do more to stimulate a transition to a sustainable economy. Industrial hemp should be considered a viable solution during this transition.
I request that the government invest in the construction of an industrial hemp textile facility in Canada. Currently no textile manufacturing facility exists in Canada and no industrial hemp textile manufacturing facility exists in North America. Hemp textiles have to be imported from other countries, and this is not feasible in a sustainable economy.
To ensure that Canadians and their environment are properly protected from the harmful effects of toxic substances, I advise that government investments are made into research for developing industrial hemp processing methods that do not require the use of chemicals.
In order to conserve Canada's ecological integrity, I would like to see the government place requirements on industry, specifically pulp and paper mills in BC and the rest of Canada, to utilize the pulping of Canadian industrial hemp when making paper and paper products.
For the automotive sector, I request that government incentives are made available for Canadian farmers who grow industrial hemp for the purposes of processing bio-fuels made from Canadian industrial hemp.
I would like to see the control and regulation of industrial hemp move from the Department of Health to the Department of Agriculture, as it is an agricultural crop not unlike wheat, or corn.
In order to encourage fiscal reform, I request that a shift is made of the federal government's current subsidies to the oil and gas sector towards sustainable businesses.
I would like to be assured that more is being done to develop seed diversity within Canada.
I hope you see the important role that industrial hemp has to play in this new economy and the future of our environmental health.
I urge you, in your role as Minister of the Canadian government to take action.
Sincerely,

Very simply, it's a way of broadcasting audio, video, text or image files. Our Hemp and Company podcast contains only audio files, covering thoughtful lectures based on industrial hemp. A Podcast is a media file that is distributed by subscription (free) over the internet using syndication feeds, for playback on mobile devices and personal computers.
A feed is a list of episodes (and their URLs) of the show that may be accessed. This list is published in RSS format ('Really Simple Syndication') which provides other information, such as publishing date, titles of the episode, and accompanying text descriptions of the series and each of its episodes.
